Most fruit leathers available out there are full of processed sugars and preservatives, but if you make your own you can feel good knowing exactly what you’re eating!
These are perfect for when you’re on the go and need a quick and healthy snack.
Recipe below
For this video i used…
1 lb. organic strawberries
2 organic mango, peeled and chopped
Wash, remove stem and chop strawberries.
Line your dehydrator trays with parchment paper.
In your food processor, puree the strawberries into a thick fruity paste, adding water if needed. If you don’t like the seeds, just use a sieve to strain the puree and spread onto parchment paper making sure to spread evenly.
Repeat with mango.
Dehydrate on 118 degrees for 8 to 12 hours, or overnight. (for raw recipe)
Time will vary based on fruits used.
No dehydrator?
Just spread out your puree onto a Silpat Silicone Baking Liner (works best) or unbleached parchment paper. Heat an oven set to the lowest temp possible for 6-8 hours—until the center is dry (not crisp) and slightly sticky.
