Saliva Hormone Testing

Women and men of any age can be affected by hormonal issues.

Stress testing (Adrenal Panel)

Stress is unavoidable, which makes stress management important for maintaining health.

Everyone experiences stress at times, but how well we cope with stress depends on a number of factors, one of which is hormone balance. The body’s experience of stress is carefully mapped out by a series of hormone responses.

Since cortisol is the major stress hormone produced by the adrenal glands, measurement of cortisol levels may be a useful means of assessing ability to cope with stress.

Female Hormone Testing

  • Weight gain
  • Infertility

Saliva hormone testing is simple, accurate, and easily obtained.

5 hormones make up the Female Panel: cortisol, DHEAs, estradiol, progesterone and testosterone. Interactions between these hormones are fundamental to health – which is why imbalances can have a significant impact on wellbeing.

Medical prescription is not required for testing

A hormone testing kit will be provided to you with instructions for collecting saliva along with pre-addressed, pre-paid packaging for shipping.

Generally speaking test results will come back within 10 days.

Test results are sent back to your practitioner who will then schedule a follow-up visit with you to go over the results and prescribe a hormone balancing protocol based on results.

You do not have to stop hormone supplementation to take the saliva test. In fact, it’s a good idea to use saliva testing as a method for evaluating the effects of the supplement program you are currently on.

Many health care providers will cover testing, although it is best to confirm with them prior to testing.
