melted dark chocolate
wooden sticks (optional)
dried fruit sprinkles ( i used epicure’s Tutti Fruity)
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Melt dark chocolate in a melting pot or over a double boiler.
Wash, dry and cut apple into wedges, removing the core.
Once chocolate has melted, add 1 tbsp. of coconut oil to help thin out the chocolate.
Make a slit in the apple and insert wooden stick.
Dip apple into melted chocolate and shake off any excess chocolate and place on prepared baking sheet.
Sprinkle with dried fruit or your choice of topping (chopped nuts, coconut etc.)
Repeat with remaining apples and refrigerate 15 minutes and serve!
