An ounce of almonds has as much calcium as a quarter cup of milk.


  • 1 cup whole almonds
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 2 tsp. vanilla


  1. Coarsely chop almonds and set aside.
  2. Heat butter and honey together, just until creamy.
  3. Add to almond mixture and blend thoroughly.
  4. Spread into a parchment lined baking sheet and bake at 375F until golden brown.
  5. Cut into squares while still warm
